FAQs + Edibles 101

New to edibles? Learn what to expect!

  • When you smoke cannabis THC-A is converted into Delta-9 THC, a fast-acting psychoactive compound. When you eat cannabis, THC-A is converted to Delta-11 THC, a much stronger and longer-lasting compound. This is just one reason why eating cannabis is so different than smoking cannabis and why edibles are so great!

  • Onset Time
    Smoking: Immediate

Edibles: 20 to 90 minutes

    Effect Duration
    Smoking: 30 to 90 minutes

Edibles: 3 to 6 hours, sometimes longer

  • Start low, start slow. We recommend starting out with a 5-10mg dose for your first experience.

Not feeling it enough? Wait at least 2 hours before you consume more cannabis.

If you decide to eat more, do small in small dose (5-10mg) increments.

IMPORTANT: Edibles are not for satisfying the munchies. Be sure to have some non-cannabis food on hand to enjoy.

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while under the influence of cannabis.

    Do not mix with alcohol.

To avoid potential injury or damage to people and property, do not attempt physical activities that require a high degree of precision, accuracy, and dexterity while under the influence of cannabis.

Remember: You might not be as funny as you think you are while under the influence of cannabis. 😉

  • We’ve all been there. We think, “This edible ain’t shit,” and then suddenly realize that, oh no…we’re way too high! HELP!!!

Don’t panic! The discomfort of being too high isn’t fun, but it will pass with time. Here are some suggestions to help you be more comfortable in meantime:
    • Sleep it off
    • Stay hydrated – drink water
    • Find your happy place, be it music, movies, shows, or video games
    • Don’t do anything dangerous
Ask for help if you need it
    • Most of all, try to relax!
